National Apprenticeship Week is an exciting opportunity for employers and apprentices to celebrate the success of apprenticeships and to encourage even more people to choose an apprenticeship as a pathway to a great career. BNP Paribas Personal Finance is committed to helping bridge the gap between and education and the work place for young people and believes apprenticeships can play a valuable role.
Through its links with Birmingham Metropolitan College, BNP Paribas Personal Finance actively trains and recruits apprentices, many of whom have now gone on to work within different sectors of the business to expand their knowledge and gain increased responsibility.
Chris Bowen, an apprentice at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, comments: “It is an amazing opportunity to work within an ever-growing business that I really feel valued and invested in. The opportunities that are available to me are endless. As well as being able to progress and develop within my academic career the apprenticeship means I can also progress throughout the business. There are no boundaries to my potential here at BNP Paribas Personal Finance and I am very excited to continue to work and progress within my apprenticeship.”
Lynda Brennan, Director of Human Resources at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, adds: “We want to create a Great Place to Work and as part of that we will continue to build a platform for growth for young people to develop their skills and achieve their potential. Apprenticeships are a great way to help people gain valuable work experience skills and for businesses to grow and retain talent. We’re delighted to support this initiative and celebrate the achievements of our apprentices during National Apprenticeship Week.”
