BNP Paribas is proud to announce that it has been included the 2017 Stonewall Top UK 100 Employers list. The list showcases UK’s the best employers for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) staff. Both BNP Paribas’ Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) and Personal Finance divisions were recognised in the list that is compiled from submissions to the Workplace Equality Index.
Stephen Hunt, CEO of BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK commented: “Diversity and inclusion is a cornerstone of our culture. Ensuring our people feel comfortable and confident to contribute fully means that our business is better placed to serve clients and retain talent.”
Martin Egan, Global Co-Head of Primary and Secondary Markets, CIB, and LGBT Ally said: “Diversity brings a range of perspectives and innovation to the workplace. Effective inclusion ensures that we leverage these differences for everyone’s benefit. The Stonewall 100 recognition reflects the importance that we attach to LGBT diversity and inclusion agenda; namely, that it is both a moral and business imperative.”
The Workplace Equality Index is a benchmarking tool employers use to create inclusive work environments. It is the first time BNP Paribas has been included in this prestigious list, and is testament to the efforts the bank has made to create an inclusive workplace.
